Riv’s a little late to the game in learning to ride his bike without training wheels.
And as he rode toward me today,
I saw pure determination in his eyes.
I asked him if he was scared at all-
And he said;
“I was scared but then I remembered that dad was standing behind me and that Jesus was with me.”
..As tears filled my eyes,
I realized how much I
could relate to that right now.
Right at this very moment.
I very much enjoy my solitude.
Especially when I’m struggling.
I’ll grit my teeth and be away for awhile.
And in the alone time,
Usually surrounded by stress & chaos,
I’ll remember…
To try to keep my eyes upon the Lord.
Today through the words of my youngest son,
I heard God tell me that He’s with me.
& that it’s going to be okay.
And man, did that feel good. ☀️
