INSIDE BO'S HEAVENLY CLUBHOUSE
Committed to the Cause
Coming together from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, our skilled team of volunteer board members are the backbone of Bo's Heavenly Clubhouse working diligently behind the scenes. Individual ideas help shape the direction and mission of our organization as it continues to develop and grow. We are always looking for new board members who are committed, loving and willing to make a change in the community and in the lives of the grieving. If you're interested, please contact us. You do not need to be a child loss parent to be on our board. We appreciate all walks of life and if you haven't experienced the death of your child, we just ask that you have compassion and a heart for serving.
Amanda wears many hats! She is a lover of Jesus and she tries very hard to uphold her Christian calling. She is a mommy to three beautiful children, a Certified Grief Support Specialist, and an Author. She thrives on making everyone feel valued and heard. You will likely see her at every single event that we have, and she does a lot of background logistics too! She is on the other end of the crisis calls and facilitates our child loss support groups. She is truly on call every day, and her phone is always on.
WAYNE HARTWIG JR
With us since our founding, Wayne Hartwig Jr is one of our veteran team members. He brings his years of experience and skills to the forefront in helping our organization grow and succeed. Being a loss father, and Bo's daddy, he shows the importance of not stuffing or silencing his grief and shares the importance of being able to express it. He is patient, kind and quite encouraging. His phone is always on.
JESSIE GOODMAN, MA
Jessie joined Bo's Heavenly Clubhouse with the vision and drive to improve upon our Nonprofit Organization. Being a loss mom herself, she honors baby Goodman by offering a comforting shoulder to lean on for those that are suffering in silence with child loss through miscarriage. Jess holds the Secretary position and she is amazing at it! In addition to that, you'll find Jess at our fundraisers helping to coordinate them. She is also very involved in the planning of events which helps tremendously!
CHRISTINA PLUMMER, CPA
Christina is a very talented woman. Talented doesn't begin to cover it! She thrives on all of her talents which include her knowledge in computers, accounting and finances. She is a CPA at a widely known company and keeps all of our books straight. It's an honor to work with her. Christina is also a lifelong friend of the Hartwig Family and is invaluable to this organization. She volunteers her services in loving memory of her nephew, Blake Aaron Lieders and cousin, Brandon Groh.
We love you, Christina!
Aimee is a great asset to Bo's Heavenly Clubhouse because she is dependable, understanding and she is a child loss mom to two beautiful boys named Wesley and Beau. She focuses on what needs to be accomplished and gets the task done. We are so grateful for her diligence and ideas!
WAYNE HARTWIG SR & LAURE HARTWIG
With us since our founding, SR and Laure are veteran team members. They bring years of opinions, experience and skills to the forefront of helping our organization grow and succeed. They always have the Organizations best interest in mind. But most importantly, they are also Bo's Grandma and Grandpa.
MISSI SHERMAN SMITH
Missi volunteers her time with Bo's Heavenly Clubhouse in loving memory of her amazing son, Austin Michael Owsley! Missi is always quick to volunteer for our events, she has an enormous heart and her ability to give and keep on giving never ceases to amaze the rest of our board. Her unending compassion makes for an amazing asset to our organization.
Carla is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. She's gone through so much in the world of child loss. She's walked through the loss of her sweet daughter, Candace Wojahn in 2007, and then endured the loss of her beloved granddaughter, Alia and great granddaughter, Aria in 2019.
Carla brings so much to the table and we are honored, blessed and thankful to have her on the team.
Sue Mitchell Metz, RN, BSN, MS
Sue has a heart of gold! She is determined, loyal and hardworking. Sue only comes to our board after the loss of her beloved son, Ryan Mitchell, who died by suicide. She has worked very hard at successfully becoming a Death, Dying, Grief and Bereavement Specialist.
Specializing in child and suicide loss.
Sue dedicates her time coordinating an outside Suicide Loss Group called Survivors of Suicide Loss out of Fond du lac, Wisconsin. And she also helps Amanda Hartwig run our newly launched, Children's Grief Support Groups every month!
JULIA AND ALEX GIESE
Julia and Alex are our newest members of the board. Alex being a sibling to child loss, we thought that this was a great asset to our organization because we just launched our Children's Grief Support Group for kids that have experienced the death of their sibling or parent. Julia has interest in marketing and design. They volunteer in honor of Daniel Giese. We are eager to learn more of their talents going forward!
